Homework
As we are now in the third trimester, students will no longer take home a weekly homework sheet in order to prepare ourselves for third grade. I will post the homework on the blog each week so that you can keep up to date with it...
Spelling Words:
compare, sharing, chair, pairs, hairy, fair, careful, dare, rare, stare, prepare, flair, snare, daring, staring
Math:
Monday - Lesson 117B
Tuesday - Lesson 118 B
Wednesday - Lesson 119 B
Thursday - Lesson 120-1 B
All week we will be testing fact speed... remember each fact is worth 10 points (totaling nearly 150 points) by the end of the trimester. Students are responsible for coming in to re-test during recess.
Reading:
Read 15 minutes or more each night and complete the Reading summary sheet (3+sentences on what was read or a prediction of what is to come)
Spelling:
1 spelling activity each night this week totaling 4 due by Friday in spelling notebooks
Other:
-SS Project coming home at the end of the week. Please refer to the timeline on the sheet.
-Bring a paper bag (shopping size) by the end of the week to take home open house work
-Field trip to San Gabriel Playhouse to see "School House Rock" on Friday
-Students may need supplies to be replenished.
This week we are continuing to study frog/toad life cycles, preparing for our First Holy Communion and growing as reading scholars through Daily 5. Please remember that Saturday, April 28th is our First Communion Retreat at 8:45 in PAC/O'Malley Hall. Expect to stay until 11:30. Please remember this is mandatory and that one parent must attend with each communicant.
Best,
Mrs. C
